BREAKING: PA Judge Orders a Stay on Certifying Election Results Pending a Friday Hearing

On November 21, Pennsylvania representative Mike Kelly, congressional candidate Sean Parnell, Thomas A. Frank, Nancy Kierzek, Derek Magee, Robin Sauter, Michael Kincaid, and congressional candidate Wanda Logan sued the state of Pennsylvania in order to block the certification of the election results, arguing that its mail voting statute violated the state’s constitution.

“the NAACP, joined by Common Cause, the Pennsylvania League of Women Voters, and several other Democrat Party interest groups, filed a Motion to Intervene and filed a responsive brief in the new lawsuit brought by the Trump Campaign against the Pennsylvania Secretary of the Commonwealth and seven Pennsylvania County Boards of Elections with regard to their handling of mail-in ballots as part of the Nov. 3, 2020, Presidential Election.”

Headway is being made to address both of these suits. Today, Judge Patricia A. McCullough issued an Order that, “Respondents are preliminarily enjoined from certifying the remaining results of the Election”, pending an Evidentiary Hearing on Friday, November 27, 2020.

Respondents are required to file their opposition to the Supplemental Emergency Application by 3:00 p.m. Along with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the Pennsylvania General Assembly, Governor Tom Wolf, and Commonweath Secretary Kathy Boockvar are named as respondents.

This breaks on the heels of Fox News reporting that President Trump canceled a planned trip to Gettysburg, Pennsylvania in order to meet with his legal team.

Mayor Rudy Giuliani, the President’s personal lawyer is slated to appear before the Pennsylvania Senate Majority Policy Committee for a “hearing” on election issues in the state. Trump campaign Senior Legal Adviser Jenna Ellis is scheduled to attend that hearing.

Colleague Nick Arama reported on a non-Trump-related challenge from the Amistad Project of the Thomas More Society to the Wisconsin Supreme Court challenging the election results because they had identified over 150,000 potentially fraudulent ballots.

“Phill Kline, director of the Amistad Project of the Thomas More Society, said the number involved was ‘more than enough to call into question the validity of the state’s reported election results.’

“Kline also called out the “discrepancies” a ‘direct result of Wisconsin election officials’ willful violation of state law.’ ”
